Customer Safety Guidelines
Candles create a cosy and warm atmosphere but can pose fire and safety risks if not used properly. To ensure your safety and that of others, please follow these guidelines:
Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended: Always extinguish candles before leaving a room or going to bed. Never leave burning candles unattended.
Keep Away from Flammable Materials: Ensure candles are placed at least 30 centimetres away from anything that can catch fire, such as curtains, bedding, furniture, paper, and clothing.
Always Use a Stable Surface: Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface to avoid tip over.
Trim the Wick: Before lighting, trim the candle wick to about 5 millimetres to prevent a large flame and excessive smoking.
Burn Candles in Well-Ventilated Areas: Always use candles in a room with good air circulation to prevent the accumulation of heat and to avoid excessive smoke.
Avoid Drafts: Keep candles away from draughts, fans, vents, and air currents to avoid uneven burning, dripping, or excessive flickering.
Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets: Candles should be placed in a safe location, out of the reach of children and pets, to prevent accidental tipping, burns, or ingestion.
Limit Burn Time to 2-4 Hours: Do not burn a candle to the bottom. Limit burn time to 2-4 hours on the first use for an even burn and to prevent tunneling. Extinguish when about 1.5 cm of wax remains or the wick is exposed to reduce heat damage and fire risks.
Extinguish Candles Safely: Use a snuffer or blow gently to extinguish the flame. Do not use water to put out a candle, as this can cause hot wax to splatter.
Do Not Move a Burning Candle: Extinguish a candle before moving it to prevent hot wax from spilling and reducing the risk of burns.
